Everything!

The Libby house is a busy house these days. I'm not even 100% sure how the day flies by without me having done anything remotely productive, but it does. Thank God my mother and Mallory have been living here since I first went into labor, and John just went back to work for real today.

But really, how is it possible that it takes four people to keep up with our little household? I'm still trying to work out the math on that one.

Before Jude was born I could do it all . . . now John and Mallory have Sophia duty, Mom keeps up with the cleaning/cooking (yay for meals from our church!) /laundry, and I am managing the new little Cuddler.

One new little person makes that much work?

However overwhelming everything is, I can't imagine the transition without all of the extra help we have had! Having Mom and Mallory here has equaled me getting enough rest to really recover, and fun times for Sophia so that she can enjoy having a little brother instead of resenting him.

All in all we are adjusting well, and I am remembering all the little newborn things that are so fun. And seeing how different two siblings can be! Sophia was not a very happy little baby . . . she was the very definition of "colicky," and I prayed thruout this pregnancy that Jude would not be . . . I don't think I could handle another one! Jude is much happier, no crying from 4 p.m. to midnight or later, and is just pretty even-keeled all around.

The best? When he wakes up from a nap and is crying his heart out and I come in the room and just start talking to him and he calms down. He knows his mama! My mom says that I did the same thing; perhaps it is a second child "thing" . . .

And in no particular order, here's some photo fun to catch up with our crazy house . . .

I love the one of your mom and Jude taking a nap together! That's probably what I miss the most from Bradley's "itty-bitty-ness"

Congratulations on your new baby. He is so precious and teeny tiny : ). Aren't Mom's the best? So glad yours is there to help you with your little family.
